Belcaro Motel

My friend stayed here, and every time we visit, the place seems really nice.

I asked to look at a room before booking because of my chemical sensitivities, and they kindly let me. They also moved us to a room with a bathtub instead of a shower. The family running the place is lovely, and check-in was easy. The rooms are clean, and for the price, this is every bit as nice as, or nicer than, any two-star hotel I’ve stayed in. You could pay double at a huge chain and still be rolling the dice.

I stayed for three weeks between places and found it pretty chill. Cane, the innkeeper, was very kind. Just make sure you pay your bill before 11AM. The housekeepers were sweet and accommodating, and the other guests seemed quiet and relaxed. I didn’t hear commotion or yelling. Visitors aren’t allowed in rooms after 6PM. The location worked great for me: convenience stores, pharmacies, fast food, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops were all a two-minute walk away. The 11, and 40 bus stops are right across the street, and light rail is 1.5 miles away. The nearby neighborhood seemed affluent and very safe. My air conditioner and box fan drowned out traffic at night. The parking lot and neon sign were bright, tidy, and well kept. There was plenty of cable and internet. It’s modest lodging, and I really enjoyed the smoking room, lol. I didn’t see any sign of insects, and trust me, I looked. I also didn’t see ladies of the night, people selling shenanigans, or anyone sleeping outside on the property, bless them. Thanks for a good stay!

Good spot for the price, with lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and somewhat updated, and mine had plenty of pillows, a mini fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron, plus a small desk.
