Peter, the shuttle driver, was the highlight. He checked DIA security wait times on his phone and let everyone know where to go, since that can change from one visit to the next, and explained the trains too. The staff were personable and room service arrived promptly, though my salad somehow came without dressing. The room was clean, if a little worn.

The shower only worked on its hottest setting, hot enough to scald someone, and there was what looked like a poop stain on the wall. The room was fairly dirty too. They advertise continental breakfast, but apparently didn’t have enough staff to open it before 8:45 a.m. There was just one person meant to open the whole breakfast area. When I asked the front desk, the person laughed and said they must not have set their alarm. Nobody made any effort to sort it out. There are plenty of other hotels just a few feet away, and I’d pick any of them over this one.

The restaurant food was really good, though much of the beer was out of stock and they didn’t offer flights, which seemed odd for a tap house. The hotel itself was disappointing for a Hilton-owned property. Parking cost $16, supposedly for security, and there were problems in the room: the bathroom towel bar had come out of the wall, the window screen flapped in the breeze, the towels had holes, and there was no body soap or conditioner. I told the front desk, who asked whether I’d contacted housekeeping about the soap. By then I’d already discovered it was empty in the shower. Since I hadn’t booked directly, they couldn’t offer a refund. They thanked me for reporting it. Whatever, I probably won’t stay there again.

The shuttle details in the hotel’s messages were wrong. I waited 45 minutes before calling the front desk, and they told me the information was incorrect, so I ended up taking a Lyft. On its own, that wouldn’t have been enough for me to leave a review. What really shook me was arriving around 11 p.m., swiping my key, and walking into a room that already had a very upset woman in it. I left right away. The front desk more or less shrugged and assigned me another room. I travel about 100-150 nights a year, and this felt unsafe for both me and the guest already in the room. I’ve been messaging Hilton through its website, but they seem barely concerned. I’m shocked by how little concern the hotel and the corporate site showed.
