We felt like we were staying with family and plan to return to Flora House on our next trip to Denver. The garden was a favorite spot: we had quiet coffee there in the morning with other guests, then came back in the evening to unwind with wine. Meeting several repeat guests said a lot about the consistently lovely experience. Jen, the owner, welcomed us warmly, and Nikki and Dusty, the innkeepers, were just as gracious. They struck a lovely balance between attentive hospitality and giving us peaceful privacy. Flora House has a beautiful, tranquil atmosphere and would make a wonderful getaway or a spectacular place for a special event.

The innkeepers, Nik and Dusty, were so kind, quick to respond, and helpful. I loved how cozy the shared dining room, living room, and breakfast room were, and the outdoor patio had lots of seating under and around the trees, among the gardens. Everything was spotless. My room was large, comfortable, and beautiful, with thoughtful touches like a big bottle of drinking water, fresh flowers, a plant, and a humidifier for Denver’s dry days. The historic house has been beautifully restored, and sits in a quiet, pretty neighborhood that’s very convenient. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved wandering around the private garden, taking a little break in the downstairs living and dining rooms, and having a wonderful breakfast, even though our time was limited. The private parking space was much appreciated, and the location was perfect. Our stay in the Iris Suite at Flora House was marvelous. It’s a beautifully restored Victorian, and the suite was spacious, bright, quiet, and gorgeously designed. We were impressed by the thoughtful details and plentiful amenities. The bed was a dream. Thank you, Flora House. We’ll be back!

Nik & Dusty are so kind and friendly, and the patio, hot tub, or living room are all nice places to relax. It’s an old house, so you can hear guests in other rooms, but the place is generally very calm. There’s free parking out front and on the street. It’s a great place to stay if you’re going to Red Rocks Amphitheater, with the shuttle stopping just around the corner. Breakfast is included, with homemade pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast, and spreads. Don’t miss it.

The hosts, Jen, Nic and Dusty, are warm and relaxed, and make you feel like you’re staying with friends while still leaving you as much privacy as you want. That’s a big part of why Flora House is such a welcome change from a sterile chain hotel. The continental breakfast is excellent, too. This was my second stay, and I’ll never stay anywhere else in Denver. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet, and charmingly decorated. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are a good size with plenty of hot water, and I really appreciate the blackout curtains, yoga mats, and humidifiers. Both suites I’ve stayed in had a separate sitting area, an extra twin bed that’s perfect for kids, and a small kitchen counter where you can brew a proper pot of coffee.
