Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Airport Tower Road

My company booked and paid for the night before my red-eye arrival so I could check in as soon as I landed in the morning. Instead, the front desk said the hotel was sold out and had given my room away. I don't remember if they apologized, but if they did, it felt like a brush-off. All I got was, “You can wait in the lobby until check-in.” Our company books here regularly, and employees often stay for 10 to 14 days. This wasn't the first problem, either. My HR rep has had issues with the hotel before, and this was the last straw. She said we won't book here again. Really disappointing and unprofessional. That's no way to treat loyal customers who pay.

The only thing this hotel really has going for it is being close to DIA. For the higher price compared with other nearby hotels, the room wasn't very clean or well kept: there was sticky stuff on the floors, damaged walls, and leaky faucets. Breakfast was disgusting, with almost nothing edible. The shuttle to and from DIA was unreliable too, and getting a ride took a lot of patience and effort. I don't recommend it; try somewhere else.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our spacious room worked well for our family of six. The kids had a great time in the pool. We could hear neither the flights passing overhead nor much of anything else, except a group of children leaving for the day, and even that was barely audible. There was some wear and tear in the room, and the blanket didn't cover the entire pullout couch bed. Still, I'd stay again.

The king bed was comfortable, not too hard or too soft, and the room was clean, spacious, and had what we needed. Although the hotel is by the airport, I never heard a plane. The only noise we noticed was a group of children heading out for the day, and we could barely hear them. The whole staff was incredibly friendly. One of the best places we've stayed on vacation.
