The hotel was immaculately maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and every interaction felt professional and genuinely hospitable. At the bar, Ricardo was attentive and added to the relaxed, polished atmosphere. Ann at check-in was gracious and accommodating, offering dining and activity ideas and making sure our room was exactly what we’d booked and suited our preferences. Earlier, valet attendant Ryan F was welcoming and polished, and shared helpful tips about nearby ski destinations and local experiences. The hotel’s downtown location puts you close to everything Denver has to offer. We flew in from North Carolina tired from the trip, and this level of care made a real difference. For comfort and a luxury stay downtown, we’d return without hesitation and recommend it confidently. Thanks to the whole team for exceeding expectations. — Dale & Josh

The pool was closed for maintenance the one time I could’ve used it, which was a shame. Also, I left something behind, but shipping it back cost so much that it wasn’t worth it. Still, the price felt worthwhile. Breakfast had some decent choices: bacon, eggs, potatoes, cereal, bread and bagel items, but no pancakes or waffles. The gym is small but has enough for a workout. There’s a limited Starbucks menu at the bar, a nice seating area by a fireplace, and valet was quick. I’d stay again.

I stayed three nights, and housekeeping came only once. I had to call to get the room cleaned. When I checked out yesterday, they told me my $100 deposit couldn’t be returned because it was a suite. I asked them to inspect it and explain, since it was spotless and we’d only used the bed and bathroom. We were on vacation and had even spent one night at my family’s house, so we hadn’t been in the room all three nights. At check-in, the dark-haired woman at the desk was incredibly rude. I had a reservation, but she said she wouldn’t give me the room because I’m Latina, threatened to kick me out, and said there’d be no refund. When I asked for a supervisor, she said it was just her and a woman who looked Asian. Both were very rude. My white husband then spoke to them, and they said they’d give him the room. I’d booked a suite and requested a crib for our 9-month-old, but it wasn’t there. When my husband asked, the woman who looked Asian said she wouldn’t provide it unless he paid her $20. He paid so our son could have a crib, even though I’d clearly requested one with the reservation. I’ve had worse hotels, but I felt they treated me racistly because I’m Latina. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve had because of the staff, not the hotel itself.

The sixth-floor laundry room takes a room key to enter and has three washers and three dryers, though one dryer wasn’t working during my visit. Each machine costs $2; the front desk can exchange bills for quarters, and there’s an ATM in the lobby. A box of detergent for one load costs $4 at the hotel shop and can be charged to your room. Washing takes 30 minutes and drying takes 60. The fitness room and pool are also on the sixth floor, need key access, and are shared by Hyatt House and Hyatt Place guests. Food delivery can meet you in the lobby or leave orders with the front desk. I stayed in a 20th-floor studio king, with a separate living area and a TV that swivels toward either the bed or couch. The kitchenette had a dishwasher, microwave, stove, and mini fridge/freezer, with dishware, pots, utensils, a Pyrex measuring cup, wine opener, and even a grater in the cupboards. They supplied paper towels, dish soap, and two dishwasher detergent packets. The blackout windows were great. After snow the night before I arrived, it was in the 40-50s Fahrenheit, and the heater worked well. Hot water came quickly at both sinks and the shower. The check-in guy was friendly and reminded us weekday breakfast runs 6:30-9 AM, with eggs, coffee, milk, and toast daily, alternating sausage patties and sausages. Hyatt House and Hyatt Place share a building, and it’s a convenient walk, just two minutes, to the Denver Convention Center, where I counted down at a New Year celebration. It’s about a 25-minute drive from Denver airport without traffic, but our trip there took almost 45 minutes when we left. Food nearby was just okay, with pho and ramen around $17 a bowl and burgers about $13-20.

The view was amazing, and the room was pristine with excellent service. We had a great time at Hyatt House Downtown Denver for my birthday weekend, including a planned Amtrak trip to Winter Park. Highly recommend it. 💗
