Stay Alfred on Little Raven Street

The apartment was spacious, well stocked, and easy to get into and find my way around. It was clean, comfortable, and good value, with easy check-in. A few things needed attention: the coffee maker didn't work, I couldn't figure out the living room lights, and the kitchen faucet hung down. The kitchen shelf was dusty, we needed more blankets, the toilet handle had to be held down, and the beds could have used box springs. Be aware that the parking only fits a compact car.

The apartment was clean and easy to access, but we won't stay again. Outside temperatures were in the 80s and 90s, and we had to call customer service a few times because the AC wasn't working. They brought portable units, but they couldn't cool the place effectively. Opening windows wasn't an option in our first-floor apartment for safety, and the units tripped the circuit breakers when running. Even when it worked, the AC was tightly controlled. It couldn't be set below 75 degrees and shut off when it was 75 outside. They don't seem to understand how hot an apartment can get without airflow.

Little Raven St is close to downtown and highland, and we walked or biked to most places around Denver. Our unit was clean and comfortable with great views, and Stay Alfred's simple setup gave us the independence we wanted. There's no onsite staff to handle bags or make the bed each day, but we liked not needing to check in with staff or put up a do-not-disturb sign. We called customer service once about the Wi-Fi and they handled it quickly and professionally. We really enjoyed our stay and would use Stay Alfred again. Definitely recommend it.

The apartment was comfortable, very clean, and had an awesome location and full kitchen. I'd probably come back, though it was a legitimate four out of five for me after a week there. Parking was a zero out of ten. The spaces were so tight I had to climb out through the back of the hatchback all week. We had a noisy neighbor above us and Stay Alfred did nothing about it. The cable package was very basic, and for the price it would've been nice to have movie rentals or even a free movie channel like HBO. The stairs weren't conveniently placed for our room, so we had to take the elevator even for one floor, and sometimes waited two or three minutes for it to move. The two building and room passcodes were confusing on our first night. With no check-in desk or anyone to ask, arriving in winter at night from an Uber with a week's worth of gear and no idea how to enter wasn't fun.
