At check-in, I told the concierge about the sales problems we’d had at other locations. He understood, and nobody called our room to push a presentation. That took the stress away and helped make the stay perfect. The room and view were great, service was excellent, and the TV channel selection was amazing. When seagulls made a mess on our windows, guest service promptly brought the squeegee and cleaner we requested.

We walked to coffee and lunch, and the location is hard to beat for coastal scenery: rocky cliffs, pounding waves, and open views of the Pacific. Our room was very close to the cliff edge. The unit was missing some toiletries, and the toilets needed repair, but I’d definitely return.

King tides and a big November atmospheric river made the ocean especially dramatic this week. This is one of our favorite spots for staring out at the water. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, and we’re never disappointed here.

We’ve stayed a couple of times, and the room views are hard to beat. We go every September and have been able to watch Grey whales from our room each year, so there’s no need to pay for expensive boat rides. The hot water has been an issue on each visit, though. This year the tank had to be replaced completely. Strange coincidence. We appreciated that they extended our stay by a day. I prefer the second floor, where we stayed the year before. On the ground floor, you still have a view, but people walking the cliffside path can peek into your windows. A membership is required to stay.

For ocean views, this is the place. We saw lots of whales when we visited in August years ago, and the PNW coast looks amazing. If you want to see whales spouting or surfacing nearby, come between mid-December and mid-January.
