Broadway Motel

I’m frugal, but I decided losing $80 was better than spending another minute in that dump. I spent less than a minute in one of the rooms, felt repulsed, and immediately went back to the front desk for my money back. They said there were no refunds. Every other terrible review is 100% accurate. The only thing going for this hotel was that I didn’t see any rodents. Not even a rat would stay there.

The bed was good, the refrigerator was great, and the shower head was fantastic. Everything else had issues. The bathroom had mold and the room smelled moldy. The room color was terrible, the man at the counter was hard to understand, and the shower water was drastic to adjust. The air conditioning unit was difficult to adjust and needed cleaning. The ice box had no liner and no lid.

The guy at the counter was nice and accommodating when I unexpectedly had an extra guest, though it cost another $30 just for that person. Room 123 smelled bad, the rooms are small, and the beds are very springy. The mirrors were dirty, the toilet didn’t flush normally, the sink was leaking, and there were inappropriate stickers on the lamps. It’s overpriced for what it is. If you’re paying $100 a night, I’d suggest going somewhere else.

There were three beds, which was the only good thing I can say. The toilet was broken, and the room reeked, not just of cigarette smoke. It was beyond a dump. If I could give negative stars, I would. I’m thinking about calling TripAdvisor. Not sure they’d want their name attached to this joint. This place could be so nice if someone cared.
