DO NOT STAY HERE. I felt terrified traveling alone when a man I didn’t recognize unlocked my room door and opened it partway while I was getting ready for an event. Luckily, I had the deadbolt on. He didn’t knock or identify himself. I’ve never felt this unsafe at a Marriott, and I’m still having nightmares about a stranger being able to open my door. I called the front desk and was told someone would come up, but nobody did. The issue was never escalated, so I had to tell the manager myself the next day. I’ve also contacted corporate. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I picked the Four Points by Sheraton Seattle Airport South for its handy airport location. The hotel seems dated, and there was an odd smell in my room. I also found no soap or conditioner, though I expected them and hadn’t brought my own. At first I thought the A/C was broken, which added to my annoyance. The front desk replied quickly when I messaged through the app. A maintenance worker came within minutes, showed me how to use the A/C controls, which was my mistake, and brought soap and conditioner. That response helped turn things around. The staff were helpful, but the property could use updates and better attention to room supplies. Convenient and decent, though there’s room to improve. I’d give it 3.5/5.

Our return shuttle was painfully slow. We called at 1:55 p.m. as instructed and were told the driver was on break and would arrive at 2:30. At 2:45 we heard he’d just left and should be there soon. I called again at 3:15 and got the same answer; the van finally showed at 3:22. The ride itself took 12 minutes. We could’ve walked to the hotel faster than we waited for it. We had paid $135.32 for nine days of park and ride after seeing the website say shuttles ran every 30 minutes. When we arrived, we were told service wouldn’t start for another hour. The website and booking gave no start time, just said, “after 3pm our shuttle runs on demand.” To avoid missing our flight, we paid another $27.69 for an Uber. Waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour and a half and risking a flight isn’t what we expected. Other hotels and park-and-ride groups passed us several times while we waited. They might’ve been cheaper too, once you count the extra Uber cost. I can’t comment on the hotel itself because we only used parking and the shuttle. Maybe it’s lovely, but don’t count on the advertised airport rides.

The shuttle was quick and the front desk staff polite, but I wouldn’t choose this place myself. Delta sent us here after a four-hour delay. The room was freezing, with a very thin blanket, and neither the curtain nor heater worked. At 3 or 4 a.m. it was too late to change anything. Ridiculous.
