Hampton Inn Des Moines-Airport

Pretty decent overall. The bathroom sink counter is so small I couldn’t even fit my toiletry bag. Breakfast sausages weren’t for me, but that’s just personal taste.

The staff were professional and really courteous. Breakfast was full of flavor, and I loved having coffee available around the clock along with treats like cookies. I’d stay again and recommend it to people passing through des Moines, IA.

The bed felt like I was lying right on metal springs. They also charged my card instead of my father’s, even though they’d taken his card details to book the room. Calling was infuriating, too, because their garbage AI phone system made it hard to reach a person. Get rid of that stupid AI trash or shut down. A company using it doesn’t deserve to be in business.

I’d never stay at this Hampton Inn again. There were flies buzzing around the room and the bathroom was filthy. When I told the front desk about the bugs, the staff brushed me off and acted as though it was normal. Completely unacceptable. The checkout process was ridiculous as well. I couldn’t raise the issue at a reasonable time in the morning before leaving. Instead, I was told I had to come down in the middle of the night to handle it. The front desk was rude throughout and seemed uninterested in fixing anything or making the stay better. Filthy bathroom, bugs, and unhelpful staff made this one of my worst hotel experiences.
