Super 8 Des Moines/airport

I’m an international student from Japan and used this place to rest. I couldn’t find anything bad about it. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of amenities. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very tasty, and the hotel interior was beautiful. Sixty dollars felt very cheap for such a great experience. Thank you.

The room was a disaster and nothing like I expected. The pool was under construction, and breakfast was a joke. I’d stay across the street at the Days Inn instead. It’s clean, cheaper, and has a working pool. Don’t book through "booking.com". I think it’s a scam. I bought insurance with my reservation and still couldn’t get a refund. The hotel’s own rate was cheaper than the one on booking.com, and the customer service person hung up on me seven times. The hotel desk couldn’t do anything because I’d booked through an online company.

For a short and easy stay, this is a good option near the airport. The price is budget-friendly, and the free breakfast and shuttle are convenient. Rooms are generally clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, although the facilities can feel basic.

We stayed overnight in room 204 and found two bedbugs. They were fully booked, so we couldn’t switch rooms, and left the place at 1 a.m. We weren’t happy and felt paranoid about our things. The young woman at the desk was very accommodating, and we’re waiting for booking.com to refund us. Will we stay again? Probably not. Bedbugs are disgusting.
