Travel Inn

The room was clean and adequate, and the bed, pillows, TV, mini fridge, and toilet were all fine. The towels, though, were barely bigger than dish towels and thin as napkins. This feels like a Motel 6. Front desk staff didn’t smile or make much effort to be welcoming. There seemed to be activity all day and night, with guests coming and going and talking in the hall. I suspect quite a few of the “guests” live here. Checkout is at 11 a.m., but at 10:30 a lady was banging on my door and yelling, “You need to be out today, or come pay more”.

This place was absolutely foul. I checked in, showered, then sat on the bed with the TV remote and discovered the TV didn’t work. I was searching for something on my phone and fell asleep. About an hour later I woke up and actually looked around, only to find a roughly foot and a half wide patch of mold on the lower part and front of the nightstand. The dresser was the same. The night worker, who says he’s the owner and manager, was extremely rude. I don’t believe his claim at all. Stay away. I’d give negative stars if I could.

The room was clean, and I was left in peace. The people running the place were kind and nice. Given the low price, I expected the atmosphere or cleanliness to be offensive, but I was glad that wasn’t the case. I’d happily stay again when I’m in the area.

They charge extra for random things, and if you’re white, you get very little room service. Management encourages racial discrimination by giving poor service to anyone who isn’t white. They prefer being around their own kind, so unless you’re one of them, this isn’t a place to stay.
