The free airport shuttle was a real plus, and it ran on time. The staff interactions were efficient and straightforward, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep before traveling. There’s a pool that could be handy for families with kids, plus a small workout area for quick exercise. The room was clean and functional, though the furniture looked quite dated and could use refreshing. The hotel feels practical rather than modern or stylish. Parking costs extra, as is fairly typical around here. For the price, it’s a solid value and works well for a short stay or airport layover. If you’re looking for somewhere newer or upscale, it may disappoint. I’d return, and it seemed friendly enough for a first visit. The staff member we dealt with was very nice, but the stay was disappointing. I booked a king bed with a whirlpool suite for my partner’s birthday, and the room we’d picked wasn’t ready when we arrived. We had to choose another one, only to find its whirlpool was broken. I have videos to prove it. When I went back downstairs, there weren’t any more rooms like the one I’d booked, so we had to downgrade to a king room that didn’t have the special feel I wanted for the birthday. We were supposed to have until noon, but they woke us at 11. The property needs more inspections and renovation.

The staff turned a horrible travel day into something much better for my husband and me. Our flight was unexpectedly canceled on February 24, 2026, and we were meant to be home in Buffalo, so we arrived with only a few clean clothes in our backpacks and no toiletries. They gave us toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and the other items in the room. They also helped arrange dinner delivery and suggested things we could do. We were strangers having a really stressful day, and the staff treated us with such kindness, even caring about the little things. That meant the world to us. I highly recommend this place because of how they treated us.

The airport pickup was the only snag. The tracking app didn’t give useful information, and we missed the shuttle. The room was very clean, with a typical Hilton Garden Inn layout. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise: dinner was very good for a hotel, good enough that we ate lunch there the next day, and the service was excellent. I’d stay here again if I need a hotel near O’Hare.
