Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham DeSoto

I liked this hotel and would stay again when passing through. The feeder road was easy to get on and off, and there was plenty of parking out front and behind the building. I didn't see a marked trailer area, though perhaps the back lot would work. There was also an electric vehicle charging station. Our room was warm at first, but the A/C cooled it down quickly. It had a full kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, two-burner cooktop, and dishwasher. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower was nice and hot, and there were enough towels and washcloths for the room's capacity. Breakfast was decent and filling, with the usual eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, bagels, biscuits, cereal, milk, juice, and coffee. The hotel was very clean and staff were attentive.

Armando was a real treasure to work with, and the hospitality was great. The hotel was clean and smelled good right when I walked in. Best hotel experience I've had in a long time. I'd recommend it to family and friends.

Leonor is the reason I haven't checked out early. She's professional, always on time and courteous, and greets us with a smile. She takes pride in her work and deserves recognition from management. The rest of the cleaning team has been a major disappointment. They don't reliably confirm when they'll clean our room, so we're left guessing. The front desk has told us one thing, then nobody shows up. One staff member also spread false rumors that our room was in poor condition, even though we've been willing to have it cleaned at any time. Leonor is keeping the standards afloat on her own. Until the others are trained properly or replaced, I can't recommend this hotel.

The only real drawback was spotty phone service and internet, but I was on vacation, so it wasn't a big deal. Everything else worked well: the price was good, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and the small kitchenette was fully equipped. Service was great, too. We were out and about a lot and didn't need room service, since we had enough towels and very little trash. I'd recommend the place and stay again.
