The room was cleaned well and had everything we needed for our two nights, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The Round Bar wasn’t very busy but seemed understaffed. Jocelyn made it worth going down for a drink and appetizer. Belinda Burnell on the valet team was outstanding, a real people person who made us feel welcome each time we came through the door. I had a great weekend getaway at the Doubletree and highly recommend the experience.

I won’t stay at this property again. There was no housekeeping during my entire night-long stay, and when I asked for help with my issues, nobody was around who could make decisions. The credit I was promised turned out to be a “food credit.” The woman I spoke to wouldn’t give me her name and eventually stopped talking to me, so I had to take a picture of her. Employees were hanging around together by the front desk like it was social hour, and there was no leadership on site. The property itself isn’t the issue, it’s the staff. Hilton needs to address this if they want this team representing the brand.

The whole stay was a letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return. At nearly $300 a night, we expected a room like the website photos, with a stand-up shower. Instead, we got an outdated room with a bathtub. The rooms badly need remodeling. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. We were told checkout was at 12pm, but when we called at 10:45am for fresh towels, they said we had to leave by 11am or pay a late fee. I explained we hadn’t even had a chance to shower, and all I got was, “I don’t know what to tell you then.” At checkout, as we rushed downstairs, the valet told us our tire was completely flat. The car had been fine before we arrived, and valet were the only ones who drove it. We know accidents can happen and it’s possible we picked up a nail, but the valet team’s response was unacceptable. They were rude and dismissive, and seemed amused while we called our insurance company for help. This was by far my worst hotel experience.

The room was decent, maybe even nice, and the place seemed safe and clean. The staff were fine, but generally not very interested in helping. The bartender/server seemed especially uninterested in serving me. There’s no food within a reasonable distance, so I had to eat at the on-site bar and restaurant. I can see why people avoid it: they even messed up a burger and fries, and I’m not picky. Also, there’s no on-site parking. I arrived at 1 am and had to haul my things from the parking lot up the street. I’d stay again if I had to, but I wouldn’t choose it.
