The casino floor was cramped, with low ceilings, no windows, and a loud basement feel. There wasn’t an easy-to-find bar or a comfortable place to sit with a drink, and the one we eventually found was extremely slow. Food options were limited to a food court with just two things, and there was no proper place to sit down and eat. The casino was nothing like Soaring Eagle or Little River. If you stay here, don’t expect much beyond gambling or being alone in your room. We won’t be back. The room was fine, but not for the price. The bathroom corners were gross, there was almost no water pressure in the shower, and the bedding had black and gray stains. The pillows were lumpy and well-used. There wasn’t an extra blanket, though I didn’t ask, and there were no signs telling you where anything was. The architecture was very weird.

The casino was extremely clean, which is why I gave it three stars. The rooms felt dated, and there was a distinct smell everywhere we went. The front desk staff were not welcoming. Only VIPs can eat in the steak house now, which limits the onsite food choices. On the other hand, the manager of the hamburger cafe restaurant was incredible and handled the extreme lines with ease.

Motorcity is my favorite casino, and I don’t go anywhere else now. They have a great range of games, a welcoming atmosphere, a nice open space, and top-notch staff. I also win every single time I go, and I win more here than at any other casino. If something has gone wrong during a visit, they’ve dealt with it promptly. I can’t speak for Fanduel’s phone or email customer service, but Motorcity staff have always replied quickly to my emails with knowledgeable answers and extra help. A high roller’s dream, I’d say.

The casino floor’s vibe was just mid. The rooms were decent, and I loved the soaking tub. The staff were amazing and very accommodating.

Check-in was smooth, and they let us in early, which was nice. The room was clean, though it could’ve been cleaner and needed a few updates. Still, nothing was bad enough to make us leave. We went out for the night, but when we got back the people next door were loud, rude, and partying well past midnight, around 1 a.m. I called the front desk and nothing changed. At 5 a.m. they were blasting music, and I was awake, angry, and unable to sleep. I called again, and at 6:52 a.m. the music was still going. I’ve never had a worse night and had to get by on two hours of sleep. I won’t stay here again, and I really want my money back.
