Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Anthony Harvey, the manager, and Tyler at the front desk made a four-day flight delay much easier to handle. They recognized my Platinum status and let us keep the upgraded rooms for the extended stay, making sure my guests and I were comfortable throughout. Both were empathetic, courteous, and calm, and sorted things out smoothly. A flight delay is out of the hotel’s hands, but their response turned a stressful situation into a reassuring stay. The staff’s kindness and professionalism were outstanding. Hotel Indigo will stay high on my list, and I’d gladly recommend it.

The staff were welcoming, and check-in and the stay went smoothly. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the hotel has a stylish modern look. The downtown location is a real plus. The cost was the one drawback: at the rates I saw, it didn’t feel like as good a value as some nearby places. If you find a decent price, though, it’s a pleasant, solid option.

My husband and I have been coming here for about four years when we want to stay overnight downtown after a night out instead of driving home. It’s near the center of downtown, with plenty of places within walking distance and Woodward not far away. The hotel is clean, smells nice, and the staff are consistently friendly and hospitable. We usually get a King Suite, and its size and view work well for the two of us. It’s a modern, chic place at a reasonable price if you’re after that rather than luxury. There’s a restaurant and bar downstairs; I’ve only tried drinks, so I can’t speak to the food. The bartender was friendly and made good drinks. The bar TV could use replacing, though, the picture looks yellow instead of clear.

The front desk staff were friendly, and our room was clean. We were surprised with an upgrade to a suite on the 17th floor, with a fantastic view. They’d even left a personal thank-you note in the room, which I’d never had happen before. I appreciated the spare sheets and blankets, as well as the clothes steamer. There are several eateries nearby, and we finished the evening at the Trolly Bar with a great bartender.
