Google gave it two stars, and I agree. If you're desperate for somewhere at 10:30 at night, have your dogs with you, and don't want to pay $350 a night, this might work. If bugs bother you, look elsewhere. We saw fewer here than at our campsite on Jekyll, so that was a win for us. There was complimentary drug paraphernalia in the drawers too, which I thought was a nice touch. We used our own linens because theirs were pretty discolored.

Our other hotel had overbooked us, and this was literally the only room available. I understand now why. The place stank, the water tasted nasty, and the sheets had stains and cigarette burn holes. The fridge didn't work either. Most concerning was a connecting door to the next room with only a dresser in front of it. People who seemed sketchy were coming and going, and we felt very unsafe. I'd recommend sleeping in your car instead.

Check-in was quick, and we were told the room phone might not work. For $55 including tax, the stay was quiet and peaceful, which was a plus. The room was tidy, the TV was a good-sized 32'', and the bed felt soft and sturdy. The pillows, though, were worn out and lumpy. There was a small gap under the door where light showed through from outside. I didn't see any bugs, but there was no coffee in the room, hair dryer, or iron and ironing board. The place could use an uplift.

I've been staying here for nearly three months while saving up for a home. Things started out well, but over time I've come to feel that the front desk woman is racist. She says we can't be outside because she wants the property safe for guests, even though we pay $325 a week and are guests too. Yesterday we asked her to reprogram our keys. She took both and yelled that she knows how to handle “you people,” then gave us just one key. My boyfriend and I work different shifts, and he had to leave first today with the only key. Before leaving to shop for groceries with my kids, I propped the door so we could get back in. The woman waited until we left to close it fully, knowing we were checked in through Wednesday and had only one key. I stood outside our room with my four children and two armfuls of groceries for 45 minutes before she came down the hall and let us in. She said she'd made us wait because of how my boyfriend reacted the day before when she called us “you people.” I guess that was her way of “handling us people.” Last night, guests of mine stopped by only long enough for me to use their laptop. She followed them to my room and questioned whether they had a room there and whether they were allowed inside. They were Black.

The online rates don't match what you actually pay, which is higher at check-in. The rooms and hallways smell awful, and the area feels dangerous. This has been the least accommodating place I've stayed, and the whole experience was terrible. Definitely don't bring children here. There's much better value and service right across the street. Don't stay here.
