Towneplace Suites By Marriott Dodge City

I’d drive into garden city if staying around here. The rooms there were larger and better laid out. This Dodge city location needs a lot of sprucing up, and it shows the difference in ownership. It was kind of dirty, with several things needing repair: the dishwasher plate needed screws, the stovetop was missing a burner switch, and the bathroom needed re cocked. The fridge was nice and large, and the air conditioning worked well. I liked being able to open the windows, but the smell from the processing plant made that unpleasant. The lot also isn’t great for oversized trucks, and there was personal junk around the staff counter. Not sure if they have lockers or just don’t care. It costs a couple dollars more here, for what, the smell and lack of cleanliness?

The staff were exceptional, super clean and quiet here. I had a problem with my original room, and they graciously moved me to another one that was actually an upgrade. They went above and beyond. I’d recommend this location to anyone looking for lodging in Dodge City, KS.

Megan and Mindy at the front desk took such good care of us, they’re AWESOME! Our room was huge, clean, and wonderful, and there’s a nice spot out front to sit and relax. They even gave us a welcome card with a free gift. Zero complaints, A+++.

I travel for work a lot and usually stick with Marriott, but I won’t stay at this one again. For the price, it doesn’t feel worthwhile or up to Marriott standards. Things seem dated and dirty, and breakfast was lukewarm. On both of my stays, a dresser drawer wouldn’t stay shut. A woman on the night shift also brings her kids to work, and they run around the hotel with very little supervision. It comes across as unprofessional.
