Red Roof Inn Doswell - Kings Dominion

We just needed a break from driving, a place to sleep and leave fairly early, and this worked for one night. It's easy to find off 95 and was the cheapest option outside Richmond. The room was basic and not updated, but reasonably clean and fine for sleeping. The bathroom was small, though enough to get ready and go. The transaction was straightforward, no scams or frills. It was affordable for four adults, a four-year-old, and two pets, with an extra $15 for the dogs.

The room surprised me with its large TV and updated, modern furniture. Check-in and checkout were quick, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. This is easily the best Red Roof Inn around here. I'd stay again.

We stayed from 10/17 to 10/20, and they let us check out late. My German shepherd was welcome without any pet fee before, during, or after the stay. The man and woman at the front were nice, quick, and helpful, and the housekeeper was a very nice girl. The rooms were basic but decent and clean. It's AWESOME for Kings Dominion and easy interstate access. There's a delicious, fun, well-priced Mexican restaurant on the property, plus a free juice and coffee bar every morning. Sooooooo pet friendly. I couldn't be happier, and I'll be back! :)

I've stayed here twice while traveling. The staff are really nice and got us checked in right away. It's pet friendly, right by the theme park, and there are lots of food options and gas stations nearby. The room was very clean, though the rooms and bathroom look a little dated, with chipped paint and old showers. For a quick stay, it's perfect.
