The room had a nice layout and the larger refrigerator in the kitchen area was useful. But the bedroom overhead light and lamp were both out. The tub and shower made such a noise when I stepped in that it sounded like they might fall through the floor. The hallways smelled musty, though luckily the room didn’t.

The front desk staff were really nice and the beds were comfortable, but that was about it. We chose the place because we had our kitty with us and needed somewhere pet-friendly to rest before finishing a long drive from Maine. I’d avoid it if you can. The room was disgusting, with chunks of food under the bed, sticky stained carpet, barely working AC, and a smell that never went away. The dishes in the cupboard were filthy too, so I’m not sure housekeeping was actually happening.

Breakfast is free, but choices are limited. There were premade sandwiches to heat in the microwave, and they weren’t very tasty, though there was also a waffle maker, juice, milk, cereal, and a few pastries. The hotel is in a good, safe location, away from areas where homeless people usually gather. The entrance was clean, and the front desk staff were excellent, attentive, and detail-oriented. They seemed to keep a close eye on everything inside, and there are cameras in the parking area. Coffee and other hot drinks are self-serve around the clock.

I paid $100 for the night, which seemed fair for what was offered. The room was clean and simply furnished, and it was quiet enough for a decent sleep. After an unexpected car incident stranded me in the middle of the night, this roadside hotel gave me the safe, quiet place to rest that I needed. It’s no luxury spot, but it was a solid place to recharge after a long drive.
