Days Inn Doylestown

The free breakfast starts at 7 a.m., which doesn't help much if you're setting out early. It's mostly packaged items loaded with sugar. The room itself has been basic but clean during my several stays over the past two years, and I've kept coming back for convenience. It was usually $99 a night, but this time the rate was $116, a 25 percent increase. When I asked why, the clerk said it was the 'busy season.' This was a Thursday in May before Memorial Day, and the parking lot was empty. I took the room anyway because it was convenient, then politely asked the clerk to tell management I'd stayed many times but wouldn't return because $116 was too much for what the hotel offers. The clerk said they weren't going to tell management, that it wasn't important, and that I could stay elsewhere, then wished me a nice night. You can find better value for your money somewhere else.

The free breakfast was a nice extra, and the price is good for one person, amazing for a family. My room was clean and comfortable, and I had the best night's sleep I'd had in a while. Management couldn't have been nicer. I was very pleased with my stay. Give it a try!

The staff were nice, but the room made for an unpleasant stay. It was freezing when we checked in, and it took hours for the heat to warm it up. The sink water was almost scalding, while the shower was only warm and turned cold after about six minutes. The toilet sewer clogged when I urinated.

It's a small, low-budget motel, but clean, friendly, and furnished in an up-to-date way. They have a continental breakfast, plus coffee and tea any time of day. I was comfortable here and would stay again if I were in the area.
