Red Roof Inn Spartanburg - I-85

I needed a room fast, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. I checked in before 9 pm and no one was at the front desk, so I had to call the number on the sign. I also saw what looked like a drug deal in the parking lot. The room was dirty and had no towels.

We like staying here for the most part. Most of the staff are kind and helpful, and they make you feel at home. The rooms were clean, though we had to move because the sink leaked. We were moved again when the heat came on and something in the wiring popped, almost starting a fire. Two staff members have been a real problem. The heavier-set man who usually works second or third shift has a nasty disposition. One morning, we woke up to find him standing pretty much over us, watching us sleep. The bald maintenance guy is very rude and disrespectful, and he curses a lot while taking out the trash, shouting where children can hear him. That doesn't seem right for someone working in hospitality. The rates keep going up week after week. We were told ours would stay at a certain amount, and supposedly a note was put in the computer, but they didn't honor it.

The room was dirty and damaged, and it looked nothing like the photos. It didn't feel safe or secure, so we're skipping our second night.

The staff were friendly, the room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. There was plenty of space in the bathroom, and the air conditioner worked beautifully. Couldn't ask for more.
