Dry Ridge Motor Inn

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and this was the worst. The room was filthy, including the walls and bathroom, and it hadn’t been vacuumed. One bed had dirty sheets covered in human hair and blood stains. When we asked the desk for clean bedding, the woman working there yelled at us and made us bring her the sheets, comforter, and pillows. She only gave us clean sheets, saying she had no clean comforters or pillows and we’d have to deal with it. I’ve never had customer service this bad. We got a cheap two-bedroom room for about $45 and stayed one night on 11/5/12. Two days later, on 11/7/12, my mother called with questions about prices, refrigerators, and wifi. Our room hadn’t even had a refrigerator. The woman screamed, “If you want a room then just come get it,” and hung up. My mother won’t be staying there, and I don’t recommend this motel to anyone.

For the price, this turned out to be a good place to stay. I expected a horrible motel because it was so cheap, but the room was clean and the employees made me feel like part of their family. There’s plenty to do within walking distance.

A big, clean room in good shape, and nicely maintained for a 1950s motel. There weren’t any bath towels, though, so I hope they don’t charge me for them later.

I came to Dry Ridge for work, and staying here has been fantastic. The staff were terrific and friendly, and local restaurants are within walking distance. The shower was hot, cable TV was nice, and the free WiFi worked well. It was super quiet, with no problems or people hanging around outside. Best rate around. I’d recommend it 100 percent and stay again when I’m back.
