Hotel Huntington

The staff member I spoke with apologized and said they often have trouble with the hot tub. The manager, though, basically said he didn't care and refused to offer any compensation. I need to be at City of Hope every other week and sometimes stay nearby for early appointments, but he didn't care about the possibility of me returning. I'm a cancer patient and had just wanted to relax in a hot tub the day before a full day of treatment. I'd highly recommend staying somewhere else unless all you need is a bed for the night. They advertise a hot tub, but it was barely warm. We waited 15 minutes for it to heat up, then got so cold we went back to our room.

I've stayed here before and it was okay, but this time the water was only barely tepid. I let it run for 10 minutes and still got no hot water. The mattress didn't fit the frame, leaving a corner sticking out that could be a fall hazard. The sink area had no towel bar, Kleenex, or wastebasket. The furniture didn't match, and the headboard fabric was peeling away.

The front desk woman was rude to all three of us and argued whenever we asked about hidden fees or basic information. She talked over customers, gave no instructions about the stay, and even said, "I hope your card doesn't get declined..." The customer service was absolutely horrible. This hotel isn't 4.1 stars, more like 2.1. Not worth it, and I'm not staying here again.

My wife and I arrived around midnight on Friday for a two-night booking, but left after seeing the condition of the rooms. The first one had dirty walls, black stains on the ceiling, and a dirty bathroom. When we asked at the front desk for another room, I was given a key to inspect it. That room was dirty too, with stained carpet and dirty walls. I also saw cockroaches in the bathroom. We took our things and checked out, then went to embassy suites. Please save your money and stay away. The hotel and room photos are heavily edited to look nicer and cleaner, so be warned. This was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at.
