Sleep Inn & Suites & Conference Center

Working in Garden City, this has turned into my home away from home. The rooms are a good size and very clean, and the hotel has a pleasant look and atmosphere. There’s guest laundry, plus a restaurant next door at the neighboring hotel. The manager was helpful, friendly, and professional, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

What stood out most was how spotless everything was, right down to the corners and those odd little gaps by the baseboards. The outlets had their ground pins on top, and every cover screw lined up vertically. Most people probably wouldn’t notice, but I’m a bit of a nerd about that stuff. The bed was comfortable and barely shifted when my wife got in or out. She had enough pillows to make a wall, while I was happy with just one. Veronica made the stay from the start. I called to ask about checking in early, expecting a whole negotiation, and she happily offered 11 AM. When we arrived, she greeted me by name, and was still smiling five hours later. The next morning she checked how the evening went, gave us backroad directions to Hannah’s for breakfast, and told us guests could use the Clarion next door. That meant a jacuzzi, a pool that isn’t listed, and 15% off at the restaurant. It sounds like both hotels are owned by the same business. Breakfast was good too. The sausage tasted like actual food, the eggs were seasoned, and the English muffins worked well. Even the napkin impressed me, it was thick enough that I could’ve changed my oil and still wiped my hands with it. If you’re going through Garden City, Kansas, by choice or some cosmic mistake, stay at the Sleep Inn & Suites. It was cleaner, friendlier, and more thoughtful than I expected. 11/10, I’d come back, even if aliens dropped me here against my will.

We’ll make this our stop when we’re passing through. It’s quiet, the rooms are large with high ceilings and nicely furnished, and the price was good. The hot breakfast was among the best we’ve had at a hotel, and the front desk staff were very nice. Clean place, a WIN!

We’d stay here again. The staff were friendly and flexible about finding us a room at the last minute, even with the time of day we needed it. There’s a big parking lot and a great steakhouse nearby.
