DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Durango

The game room was a great extra, with classic games like Jenga, cards, and Sorry. We also loved the warm cookies at check-in. The building has lovely old-time charm, from the wooden revolving entrance door to the ceilings and woodwork. I could cross the street to reach Downtown Durango and walk beside the river. Our room was clean and spacious, with a microwave and mini fridge. I had a great stay and will definitely be back.

I was unsure about booking after reading some of the reviews, but I’m so glad we came. The restaurant was very good, the view was nice, and everyone was friendly. Housekeeping stopped by every day, and the fresh cookies were the absolute best. The place has classic charm that fits Durango. Albertsons is almost in the same parking lot, McDonald’s is right across the street, and historic Durango is less than a mile away on foot. The Durango train is right in front of the hotel, and everything is close by. I’d stay here again!

Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Albertsons nearby was a real convenience, and the Aminas river was a beautiful bonus. We took lots of walks on the trail along it. We picked a great base for our vacation, with easy access to everything in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

We’d give this place 10 stars if we could. The room was clean, well kept, and much roomier than others we’ve stayed in. We loved the river view, and all the wood, from the front desk to the bathroom sinks, gave the hotel a warm, cozy feel. Dinner was delicious too. It’s so close to the train station that you can walk across the street to it. Everyone was friendly, and Jaclyn, apologies if I’ve spelled that wrong, was especially helpful. She sent a few texts during our stay to check that we had what we needed. My husband, kids, and I will drive all the way back from Texas to stay here again. It’s that good.
