The location worked out great for us, with plenty of parking, a nearby Kroger, and a wonderful restaurant called 101 Beer Kitchen. Our suite was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The full kitchen had a stove, dishwasher, and basic dishes. We slept well in the comfortable bed with crisp white sheets and lots of pillows. There was also a pullout couch in the little living room, plus an extra blanket and pillow in the closet. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. The pool and firepit looked lovely, though we didn’t get to try them. A nice woman at reception also told us about the library, where guests can borrow movies, books, and boardgames.

The room was probably a 2.5 for us, which wasn’t an available rating. The location was perfect for our needs, and the woman at check-in was friendly and helpful. She explained our hot tub reservation and where to pick up and return pool towels. We also found the beds surprisingly comfortable. But the room wasn’t what we expected from the online photos. It was a motel-style room with no elevator, and instead of two queens in one room and a king in another, we got two doubles and one queen. The heat was on when we arrived, and the air smelled musty and smoky. We left the door open and turned up the AC. There was a hole in the bathroom wall behind the door, a ripped screen in the living room, cracked fireplace tiles, and a bolt that was hard to lock unless we pushed hard on the door. There wasn’t enough seating for everyone to sit together comfortably without someone being on the floor. Parking was limited, and with two cars we were afraid to move them in case we lost our spots. We also weren’t comfortable leaving them where we couldn’t see them. The next night, we went to reception for towels as instructed. A different employee was very unpleasant, barely spoke, handed us pool “towels” about the size of hand towels, and pointed to the return bin before walking off. Afterward, we returned them and asked for clean room towels since we hadn’t received any during the day. She said she didn’t know whether there were any, then came back and told us, “make ‘em last, this is all I have”. It was rude and unprofessional. We moved our hot tub reservation to Saturday night, but the photos still felt misleading about the room we’d get.

We were a little wary after reading some reviews, but decided to book anyway, and I’m glad we did. We were just stopping for one night on the way to NC, and the room was clean and cute. The staff were really nice and accommodating, and we enjoyed our stay enough to book again for the return trip. I can’t speak to other people’s bad experiences, but ours was great. Some folks are negative in general, so don’t judge it only by a bad review ;)

The room looked just like the pictures, and my girlfriend and I loved it. We booked for New Years Eve because of the full kitchen, nice living room and bedroom, and fireplace. I’d called ahead about whether the fireplaces worked during renovations, and a friendly employee said some didn’t, but promised us a room with one. At check-in, another friendly woman gave us our keys. Unfortunately, the fireplace wouldn’t turn on. She tried and offered to call maintenance, but we didn’t mind enough to pursue it. The bigger problem was the upstairs neighbors partying hard, running around and tackling each other all night. We woke to puke and urine off the balcony. We told the front desk, who said the manager would contact us after returning from leave. The management team handled it well, and I appreciated their professionalism, courtesy, and care for customers. The rooms are beautiful, the outdoor pool is heated, breakfast is nice, and the staff are amazing. We’ll definitely be back.

Our room had already been renovated and looked beautiful, which was a relief after reading reviews about unfinished rooms. The stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and the place looked like the advertised photos. Breakfast was mediocre, but it was free. They said they were short staffed, which is understandable since everyone is these days. The pool was kind of small, and kids kept jumping over people without supervision. That wasn’t really the hotel’s fault. As we were packing to leave, someone knocked quickly and immediately opened the door to say they were taking the cable box. It wasn’t a big deal since we were about to go, but it would’ve been embarrassing and irritating if we’d been changing.
