Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus-Dublin

Melissa at the front desk made my stay noticeably more pleasant. Her warm welcome, genuine smile, and professional manner stood out from the moment I arrived. She's kind and patient with every guest, and her attentive, polite communication and willingness to go the extra mile reflect well on the hotel. It's rare to meet someone who combines such dedication and grace with a real focus on guests. I'm grateful for her hospitality and would gladly choose this hotel again.

Things were going well until just before checkout, when the kids weren't allowed to swim because we were about to leave. They were so upset, and then the staff wonder why there are no kids in the pool. This doesn't feel like a hotel for younger kids. You also can't bring a friend to swim with your kids, only people listed on the reservation, so the kids were bored all weekend.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful, and the location made it easy to reach the highway and get around Columbus. The rooms were a different story. We had to change rooms three times: the first room's kitchen hadn't been cleaned at all, the second smelled like urine, and the next had the same problem as the first. It's pet friendly, so I guessed the smell might have been from a previous guest's pet. I think new cleaners may have been learning while we were there. The room we eventually stayed in was better. We still had a great time and would go back, but I'd need to see the room before booking and be able to cancel that day if it wasn't clean. Moving rooms over and over was a big inconvenience.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, including when I called ahead with a couple of special requests that they accommodated. We also used the spacious, comfortable lobby and dining area for a family dinner celebrating our granddaughter's birthday. The pool was great, and the hotel was pleasantly quiet over a holiday weekend. Our clean two-bedroom suite had a fully stocked kitchen, which worked well for the family. Breakfast had a nice variety and was more abundant than at other hotels I've stayed in. Highly recommend.
