Courtyard Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf

I usually like staying at Courtyard, but this one needs some attention. The bed was old and lumpy, with shifting support that reminded me of a water bed. It lacked firmness everywhere except where the lumps were. We’d planned to relax after a concert, but decided to head out instead. That was our choice, though the night manager seemed unconcerned. He said he hadn’t heard about the issue, but didn’t apologize, offer another room, or even suggest a small discount. Parking is handled through an app, so you have to send another service your credit card and other details. It also can’t be charged to the room, which takes away that Bonvoy convenience. It may be cheaper, but guests should know in advance. There are several other options nearby, including Bonvoy hotels, so I’d stay elsewhere.

Bad experience for a star bucks. The kitchen staff wouldn’t make anything with eggs besides scrambled eggs, and it happened two mornings in a row. When I asked for sunny side eggs the first day, they said no. The next day I ordered over easy eggs with breakfast potatoes, but got scrambled eggs and pieces of bread instead.

The hotel was really clean, and the beds were super comfortable. Everyone working there was warm, friendly, and ready to help. We asked for extra towels and sheets for the pullout bed, and smiling staff brought them right away. 10/10 recommend!

We had a great breakfast and coffee at the lobby bistro. The food was so good, and the bistro staff were friendly and really good at their jobs. The place was efficient, too. Our room was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. Marcia, the manager, and Kazi, the night clerk, were especially helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Parking costs a lot at most hotels around here, but this Courtyard charges $10 for 24 hours. It’ll be our first choice when we’re in the area.
