The shower pressure and water temperature were an absolute blessing. It was also a convenient place to stay, with the bare necessity of shelter from changing weather and mosquitoes. People come and go here, so bring your own hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and extra towels or bedding for what you need. Whether a room is safe, bug-free, convenient, or has soap and old furniture, we're responsible for looking after our home, even temporarily. We aren't toddlers. Be grateful for whatever amenities are available instead of none, and bring or offer the skills, time, or money to improve what you want to see. A clean or carpenter's help could make things better.
