Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eagan/St Paul

Dog poop was all over the yard, and it wasn't mine. There was no room service because of supposed dog dander, which is unbelievable. The manager stood two feet from the front door, smoking and talking about needing to sterilize my room because I had a little dog, even though his employees had said it was fine and booked me and my dog for a week. Then they moved a drunk motel guest next door, apparently on purpose to keep us in our room. The building was empty, but they put the loud drunk man right beside us. Management was scrappy, and some staff were just rude. Talk to your employees, and don't blame me. Just an awful place.

The location is awkward, and it was confusing to get into the parking lot. Getting onto the highway also means making U-turns at traffic lights. The room isn't physically bad, but there's constant electric buzzing from the outlets, which is really annoying. Service was probably the one good part: the front desk was helpful and the cleaning staff were nice. The one bad interaction was a manager being rude to employees.

You charged too much for the smallest room I've ever seen. There's no microwave, and the cooler is tiny. The entrance was so narrow I couldn't get through with the luggage cart. Breakfast had no silverware and was, at best, from the continent of africa. It's absurd that you can't print basic receipts for customers. Other wyndham companies have no problem doing it, but somehow you're the only one who can't. Get real. There are several nearby hotels that are much better.

The hotel and room were clean, and breakfast was good, with biscuits and gravy, waffles, English muffins, fruit, toast, cereal, milk, and coffee. The room was small, and the bed sagged a bit in the middle, so it wasn't great. Still, it was a good room for the price.
