The curtains in our room were broken, but everything else was amazing. The staff were great, and we got a bunk bed. I felt like I was on a five star vacation, and I’m grateful I could go. I go every winter. The pool was amazing too. I played basketball there with the pool basketball nets, and our DoorDash order from a restaurant arrived just fine. Best vacation.

This place brought back a lot of childhood memories, and we’d happily spend our money here again. The staff were honest, kind, and accommodating. When our shower gave us trouble, they fixed it without question. Front desk staff were so nice, and most of the lifeguards were friendly and took their jobs seriously. We saw several rooms being painted, so they are working on upgrades. The rooms weren’t in perfect shape, but our kids didn’t mind or even notice. Is $300 a lot for a room? Sure, but upgrading takes money too. We liked our quick one night stay with the kids.

The waterpark is still fantastic, with lifeguards who are on top of things, and the cafe food is decent, though a bit pricey. The cafe often seems to have just one person working, and he looks overworked. The rooms and halls have gotten so rough that we may not return. There’s peeling paint, obvious water damage, and awful carpet in most rooms. The side entrance smelled like a dirty diaper for all three days of our recent stay. How does housekeeping not notice? I’ve stayed at this waterpark since it opened, and the staff have always been great, but the rooms are declining from both age and poor housekeeping. We stayed four times in 2025. One time they gave us a ground floor room without curtains, then moved us right away. How was that room ready for guests? On our most recent visit the curtains were there, but the first few hooks were undone so they wouldn’t close. There was candy on the fold out bed, and crumbs on the pad when we unfolded it. We brought an air mattress since sofa beds aren’t always comfortable when we travel. Breakfast used to be average, then stopped, and now it’s back. This past year, if you didn’t get there at 7 when the hot food came out, it was gone. At 8 there were pancakes, white and wheat bread, and cereal, but no milk and only cranberry juice. It wasn’t a one time delivery issue, it happened every time. The breakfast attendant sat half asleep and on her phone in the far corner of the bar, where she apparently thought no one could see her. So keep your expectations extremely low for the rest of the building and enjoy the waterpark.

For a budget minded family that’s happy with a no frills stay, this is a good choice. Our family of six fit comfortably in one room, and the package deals are worth it. There’s food on site, and the waterpark was fun even for our teens. There was plenty of seating, lifeguards on duty, and life jackets for the little ones. We had a gorgeous lake view, convenient elevators, lots of parking, and breakfast with pancakes included. The staff were kind and accommodating too. If you’re expecting the Hilton, this isn’t it, but it’s a fun, affordable adventure for a large family. Thanks for a quick getaway!

The location was convenient, with places to eat, a gas station, and a liquor store nearby. Being able to bring our dog was the best part. Beyond that, this was a huge letdown, and we won’t be back. We booked two nights for a family Christmas getaway, but the first floor smelled horribly of dirty diapers when we walked in. Our room was dirty too, with gummy bears on the floor, stained curtains, and a broken cabinet falling apart around the fridge. Water spilled on the carpet, and the towel we used to soak it up turned dark brown. We chose the hotel so the kids could enjoy the waterpark, especially the big slides, but a sign said they were closed due to staffing issues. Staff said they’d be closed all weekend. On Saturday the pool was meant to open at 8 a.m., but staffing issues delayed it until 11. It closes daily from 2 to 5 for cleaning and sanitizing, which I understand, but it had only been open three hours. The big slides were still closed when it reopened. Two people were vaping in the pool area and staff did nothing. For that kind of money, we should have been able to use the amenities.
