Days Inn by Wyndham Manassas Battlefield

I wouldn't stay here again if I needed a quiet night's sleep. There was constant noise from families in the hallway, including crying babies and kids running around with Nerf guns, and people hanging out. My room was so dark with only one lamp that I could barely see my food even with the bathroom light on. The front desk guy was nice, but he knew where he was placing me. You can walk to get food, though I wouldn't recommend going out at night because the area seemed shady. The residents showed no respect for others, and I got the impression management doesn't care.

The room's paint was peeling, and the curtains were coming down. I didn't feel comfortable checking the bathroom or the stained bed, which might have had marks from a roof leak. There was a moldy, mildewy smell, and the front desk wasn't helpful. In the lot, I saw several cars with broken windows, kids running around in diapers or underwear, and men sitting, drinking, and watching people. There were lots of cameras, but they didn't make me feel safer. A horrible stay.

We spotted something on the wall after waking up and, when we looked closer, realized it was a cockroach. I went straight to the desk to request a full refund. The staff member was understanding and offered another room, but I no longer felt comfortable staying. The staff were very understanding about it.

The deluxe room was better than we expected, and we found the hotel comfortable and good value. Its location is great, too. Breakfast had only a few choices, but that was fine with us.
