Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Duncanville

After a long drive, it was nice to have food available on site. Cecilia served us and was a gem, polite, attentive, and very friendly. Nichole and Adriann at the front desk were inviting too. The staff get a thumbs up from us. The room was acceptable, but my window looked straight at a huge condensing unit about 12 inches away. Some view! The window wouldn’t lock, so we figured only a skinny burglar could squeeze in. My husband bent the lock so it would stay shut and keep any skinny burglars out. Maybe that unit counts as an extra security feature! (: We recommend the facility overall.

We checked in at the Hilton Garden Inn Duncanville on 2/7/26, and less than an hour later the front desk clerk called to ask if the Corvette parked in the VIP area out front was ours. After we confirmed, he told us its window had been smashed and Duncanville police were already outside waiting for us to come assess the damage. We were both shocked. The clerk on duty that night did his job, and we appreciate that. The next morning, before we left, RC went down to get breakfast and called me to check what I wanted. The young woman he spoke with repeated what she thought she heard but still got the order wrong. The kitchen worker with her came out acting like he wanted to fight RC, even though he didn’t know what had happened. Thankfully, the morning clerk saw it and reported it to Corporate. Hilton Garden Inn chose not to compensate us for the car damage or for the irate employee who disrespected RC over an order we’d repeated twice. Nothing about the experience was good, and we’d been loyal customers. Fair warning: even if your car is in their VIP parking area, they won’t compensate you if something happens to it. Sorry, but not sorry.

On our second night at the hotel, someone stole the rear lights from our truck. There aren’t any cameras facing the cars in the parking lot, and they should have someone patrolling there. Our vacation was a total mess: we had to order replacement lights and couldn’t use the truck for the rest of the trip. All we got was, “Sorry, we only have cameras in the entrance doors.” This was our first and last time staying at a Hilton.

The location was perfect, with the highway right there and plenty of food options and stores close by. The staff deserve a special mention: Nicole and Tanisha were helpful from check-in through checkout, answered our questions, and were happy to accommodate us. Thank you, ladies! We had a great stay at this nice, clean hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean too, though they could use a little upgrading.
