This place is a slum, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, even my worst enemy. Some room floors are caving in, and there’s mold, cockroaches, and plumbing problems in some rooms. Residents aren’t allowed to have visitors, and staff go into people’s rooms when they aren’t there. They don’t provide towels or anything for people staying there.

The decor was exceptional, and the continental breakfast and housekeeping were one of a kind. The plumbing and ventilation let me talk to my neighbor, so I never felt lonely. 10/10, would stay again.

The place seems to provide only bare-bones shelter, mostly for homeless people whose two weeks are paid by the Department of Social Services. The rooms were filthy and outdated. They have TVs and microwaves, but neither worked, just for looks. The owner seems to run the place like a personal harem, trying to control female guests. There’s also a strict rule book, including NO VISITORS ever. If someone needs housing after DSS’s two weeks of payment, the rate is $90 a week, more than a real efficiency apartment would cost here. I wouldn’t recommend staying for any reason. A car would be better accommodation.

I just moved to NY and was placed here because I was homeless. Why would anyone send an 18-year-old here? After doing research, I’m genuinely scared for my life and don’t feel safe.
