For what it costs, I’d look elsewhere. The lobby looks good, the cookies were good, the employees were very friendly, and the bed was nice. But the place needs maintenance and TLC. All four pneumatic tires on the luggage cart were flat. The room door scraped against its frame and squealed loudly whenever we opened or shut it. The safe didn’t work, probably because of a battery, and although I told the front desk, nobody came up. Housekeeping skipped our room on the second day. Then at 8:30pm one night, a giant cockroach greeted us on the wall in the third-floor elevator lobby.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service has been top quality. The gym is huge, the pool is large, and parking is convenient. Most of the place is fantastic, though some things are dated or out of order. With a bit more repair and refreshing, this could be five stars all around. I’ll definitely stay again.

Micah made check-in easy for our two rooms and was so friendly that he had us laughing while walking us through everything. We had connecting rooms that were clean, with comfortable pillows and beds that weren’t hard. Both bathrooms had fans that didn’t work. Water pressure was fair and the water stayed hot, though the AC took a while to cool the room. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before bed, and the bartender was friendly. There were several events during our one-night stay, including a police gala at check-in and a trading card and memorabilia event the next morning. The lobby had plenty of chairs, couches, and other seating, and the parking lot was clean. There were elevators on both sides of the hotel. The fresh hot cookies were delicious. We’ll be back!

The bar was a highlight: it was well stocked, the service was attentive, and the burger was one of the best I’ve had. I wish I’d gotten the names of the bartender and server who looked after us during our three nights, because they were fantastic. Deja checked us in and seemed to truly care about our experience, while Kenny and Derrick were also very helpful. The whole team made us feel welcome from the start. The hotel sits just outside the city in a peaceful spot, and I’d absolutely recommend it and stay again. From outside at night, the building gave me hospital vibes, but inside it was beautifully decorated and very modern. Our room was spotless and comfortable. My only gripe was the layout: it had three points of entry, the main door plus connecting doors to rooms on both sides, which I didn’t love from a security standpoint.
