Nobody's Inn

Durango has so much to do, and the restaurants are amazing. Nobody’s Inn is where I like to unwind after a day of skiing. This was my fourth stay, and it’s never let me down. My favorite place to stay!!!

We had such a great night at this place. After my wife’s surprise birthday party at 11th St Station, we didn’t have to drive back to Vallecito, and we could stay out a little later for one more cocktail. The next morning we took it easy, made breakfast in the kitchen, and she opened her cards and gifts. We’ll definitely do it again!!

Those street-facing bay windows were a favorite. We watched people go by, then wandered along Main to do some Christmas shopping. The whole inn had a lovely feel, just as the room descriptions and concept on the website had suggested. We were in town for the Polar Express with our family of four, and everything was close: dinner at Steamworks Brewery was less than three blocks away, then the station was another four blocks. Parking took me a bit to figure out, probably more my fault than the inn’s. I found a spot kitty-corner to Steamworks, unloaded by the inn entrance, then parked where we had dinner, which worked out conveniently. Check-in and checkout were easy, though the owners kept a low profile. The decorating showed exquisite taste. I’d highly recommend it.

I’ve visited Durango many times and somehow never noticed the door on Main Street before. I stayed in the Anybody room, an old, well-maintained inn room with its own bath and kitchen, one queen bed, and two small built-in beds. My daughter is thinking of making it her base for girls’ nights out.
