Durant Inn & Suites

The room and bed were comfortable, but there were several hairs left in the shower. The microwave didn't work, and someone had set the refrigerator to the coldest setting, so my can of soda exploded. Housekeeping made the bed and took the used towels, but left the trash and propped the door open. It wasn't a good experience.

The front desk staff were helpful and apologetic, and breakfast was very good. I felt bad for the staff, though, since the room didn't fit my family as our reservation specified. The hot tub was empty, and the carpet throughout the hotel was awful. The mattresses squeaked, felt worn out, and were extremely uncomfortable. The sheets didn't fit and came off whenever anyone moved.

Breakfast was the best part of our stay. The rooms were dated and run down, and housekeeping was struggling at best. During our five days, the trash wasn't taken out, the sheets weren't changed, and the bathroom wasn't cleaned once. After 5, good luck finding someone at the front desk if you need towels or anything else. A sign said they were helping other guests, but they never came back, even after we checked several times. There was no change available for the on-site laundry. The outdoor hot tub wasn't heated, and it was hard to rinse shampoo from my hair in the shower. With other options around, I won't stay here again.

I've stayed at a lot of Hamptons and usually like them, but this one was pretty gross. It hasn't been updated in over a decade and there were spiderwebs everywhere. The breakfast was amazing, though. The woman making the food was really good, and the station was very clean.
