The hotel has potential to be a lovely place, but it needs repairs. We were three people in a double room and had towels for only two. When we tried calling the front desk for more, we discovered the room phone wasn’t plugged in, and there were no extra towels available anyway. I’d expected four towels, washcloths, and hand towels for a room. The beds were good, but each had only two sheets, with no comforter or anything else. The air barely worked, though luckily it wasn’t very hot outside. We also found a pillow behind a chair and left it alone since we had no idea how long it had been there. We booked at the last minute and got a room, which was pretty clean apart from that.

We stayed from 11/09/25 to 11/10/2025. The breakfast was pretty good, with eggs and link sausage, but while we were eating in the little dining room, we saw a roach crawling down the wall by the entrance to the food prep area. The sheets had several holes, the microwave door was cracked, and the older motel didn’t seem to have been refurbished very well. I don’t think we’ll stay here again, especially with so many other motels in the area.

I have stayed at different Choice hotels several times a month for years, and never expected to leave a negative review about one. My husband has also worked as an executive managing several brands, including over 100 Choice hotels. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I wasn’t feeling well and asked for a first-floor room if one was available because I have Congestive Heart Failure. The room looked nothing like the pictures, which seemed either 20 years old or taken at another hotel. It was filthy, and the door had clearly been kicked in. The lock had been forcibly removed, so there was no way to lock the door. I went straight back to my car and drove to the lobby to ask for a different room. I didn’t even complain about the dirt, only told the employee that the lock was gone. He looked at me as if I were unreasonable, then rudely said that if I didn’t like the human trafficking room, I’d get a room on the 3rd floor, as though it were a punishment. I was in shock. I gave back the key and left, even though I knew he would still charge me.

The breakfast had lots to choose from, and the attendant was the sweetest, helping me and the kids get what we needed. Both the overnight and morning front desk ladies were so kind, and check-in was quick. I didn’t catch the overnight lady’s name, but she made us feel welcome. We stopped for a night with the family after driving from NYC, and the clean room, nice beds, and hot water were just what we needed. The lobby looked lovely decorated for Christmas, tree and all, and my kids loved it. There were sodas and quick snacks to buy, plus coffee with flavored creamer. Thanks for making our day, even for one night. We’ll definitely return if we’re in the area. You’re doing a great job, and I appreciate it. 🙏🏽

I’ll be using this as my home base while I’m in town, and I’d recommend it. The lobby feels welcoming, with a good coffee and breakfast area, and the hotel has apparently had a recent facelift and brand change. My room was clean for the most part and looked fairly modern. The TV was a nice surprise. It showed your name because it was connected to the room, and it had YouTube and every streaming service you can think of. The continental breakfast bar was modern and clean, with good options. The fitness facility was a little sad, though that’s what I’d expect from a Choice Hotel. I’m here for a few days because a family member is at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. As a Choice Rewards user, I found the hotel last minute and got a decently priced room as soon as I walked in. I was a little annoyed that I didn’t get my Rewards welcome gift, and they charged regular price for my second day. I also had to use bleach on the bathtub. Still, it’s a good place to stay while I’m here.
