At this location, roaches are everywhere. I travel for work and stay at ESA locations across the country often, and I’ve always known them for clean, comfortable rooms. Here, people were breaking into cars in the parking lot at 11pm, around the time the last worker or manager leaves. There’s no ice machine, and nothing feels safe. Don’t leave anything in your vehicle. Bring bug spray or stay somewhere else!

Chad would never. The new general manager, D, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional during my experience at Extended Stay America on South Miami Boulevard. They spoke to me in a condescending way, with no empathy or respect, and I left feeling uncomfortable and unheard. As a paying guest, I expected basic courtesy and professionalism, not to be treated like an inconvenience. This property needs better leadership and accountability, since management’s behavior reflects on the whole company. If respect, clear communication, and basic customer service matter to you, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Extended Stay America should reconsider who it puts in charge at this location.

On the second night, a strange woman tried to open my room for 10 minutes. I didn’t realize what was happening at first, but after hearing noises I checked the peephole and saw someone trying the door. Then a female staff member came up and opened the room without knocking or any warning. I was standing there already, or she could have opened it without caution. I contacted the property about it, but they took no further action and only said they could escalate my case and a manager would call within 48 working hours. I stayed from 12/6 to 12/9, and luckily I’m still here to write about their “magnificent” service. I booked a room with two beds for three nights, but they were overbooked and gave us two rooms instead. Mine was okay. In my parents’ room, the toilet was stuck and wouldn’t flush. I reported it to the front office, and they said they’d fix it, but it still wasn’t working when we returned. I asked again the next morning, and it remained unfixed until night, when it overflowed and there was shit everywhere. No room was available to move my parents, so they told us to clean it ourselves with extra towels and a plunger because they had no staff. My parents had to sleep in that room with the shit. Excellent service, the most amazing hotel in the world 👏🏻.

Ryan has been consistently exceptional, and the new manager is a breath of fresh air. He’s putting rules in place while being fair, which I really appreciate. Thanks for giving us a management team that cares.
