Noel is pretty awesome, and this is still one of the better hotels in the area. We’ve had good rooms and great service here before. This time, though, room 707 was a mess. Hair and dust were everywhere, and the remote was, well, gooey. It was pretty obvious the room hadn’t been vacuumed. QA should have caught it. The extra pillows we asked for had stained covers, too. Avoid that room, or any cleaned by "Olga."

The night staff were exceptionally nice, and the rooms are large. The furniture, though, was badly stained. I also don’t like seeing QR codes everywhere asking guests to tip the cleaning team. I’m fine with tipping, but I have a big problem with large corporations making me feel guilty when they don’t pay employees a decent salary.

The rooms are a good size, though very dated. Breakfast was mediocre at best. I’ve spent more than 2,000 nights in hotels over the years, and my expectations aren’t high, but this one is definitely near the bottom. I wanted a shower after a day of travel and found there was no hot water. I reported it to the front desk, but the next morning there still wasn’t any, so I reported it again. After being out all day, I returned to an uncleaned room, with the floor unvacuumed and the bed unmade. Someone had been in there, though, because a replacement towel was left in the bathroom. I checked the water again and still got nothing. I’ll never stay here again.

The location was fantastic, and everything about the stay was excellent. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and every employee we dealt with was helpful and courteous. Thanks to everyone for a great visit. I’d happily stay again and recommend the hotel to anyone. cew3rd/Folly Beach/SC!

During the ice storm, the staff made us feel cared for and at home. With local businesses shut and the roads icy, they offered $5 lunches and dinners. That was a thoughtful, welcome surprise. The team is friendly, and I’d stay here again and recommend it anytime.
