Hillcrest Motel

My mom rented a room after her brother passed away. My sisters and I visited her that morning before the funeral. As we were leaving, the owner came over angry and told us not to come back. I don't know why he was taking pictures of my mom's late brother's truck, but he was very rude and unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to visit someone for a couple of hours.

The room worked perfectly for what we needed while I was hired to help a few guys make a little video and cam show. There were enough outlets for the lights and other gear. We shot for a few hours, then I showered; they left, while I stayed and went out to work a bit more. The staff didn't cause any drama, and we kept things quiet and didn't create problems. A good place for discreet meetups.

The manager and his wife run the place well. They're a friendly couple who clearly care about keeping customers happy. I had a decent experience.

No cold water, mold in the shower, and just one towel for two people. When I asked for another, I was told there should have been two in the room and we'd have to pay for an extra one. I called the desk about the water and was told it was a city issue, not theirs. I've never heard of a city having 90-degree tap water. Horrible place, and I'll never come back.
