Wild Goose Inn

The grounds are lovely and clearly well cared for, and everything inside was spotless. Al, the innkeeper, and Yogi were both great. The Wild Goose Inn is conveniently placed for the popular spots around Michigan State University. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting MSU.

Parking was right beside the building, with plenty of space the whole time we were there. MSU is just across the street, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is cooked for each guest every morning, and the food was excellent. They also made a real effort to accommodate us. The hosts were wonderful, and everyone we met at the inn was pleasant. Each room has its own thoughtful design, even better in person than in the photos.

Al served us breakfast each morning, with really fresh fruit and muffins that were to die for, even in the middle of winter. He was friendly and welcoming, and gave us a great suggestion for where to visit, elderly instruments! The B&B is near downtown, so dinner and Pinball Pete's were an easy walk, but it stayed peaceful and quiet. MSU VMC is only minutes away. The rooms are adorable, with intricate touches like a stone fireplace, gold plaster ceiling, and wood stick bed frame. Yogi, the resident dog, was another lovely part of the stay.

My friend was amazed by our room, Indian Summer, and really liked the location. It felt surreal to be in a charming, peaceful cottage in the heart of Lansing, surrounded by businesses aimed at university students. We were visiting for a show at the Wharton Performance Hall at MSU. I skipped breakfast, but my friend said it was wonderful. The dog was friendly, and so were the owners. We had a great time and have the Wild Goose Inn on our list for a return visit.
