Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Atlanta Airport North, GA

The room was spacious, and the indoor pool was a nice extra for the kids. But we had to keep going to the front desk every night for basics like toilet paper and towels because housekeeping hadn't replenished them. The worst part was an argument in the breakfast area in front of my children. A hotel employee and a guest got into a heated dispute, and the employee was aggressive, swore, and seemed ready to fight. That was completely out of line in a family setting. The hallways smelled strongly of marijuana, and the area around the property felt unsafe to us, with many homeless people nearby. The poor service and unprofessional behavior made the stay very unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it to families.

The staff member in the lunchroom hid food and complained about how people ate, which made the place feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. In bedroom 125, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, and we never got paper towels or clean towels. Those are basic things to take care of. The poor housekeeping and staff attitude made this a very negative stay, and I wouldn't recommend the place without major improvements.

My truck was broken into in broad daylight in the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson near the Atlanta airport parking lot. The windows were smashed and my property was stolen. Management admitted that break-ins happen repeatedly and that they hire a security officer at night, but there was no security during the day when my vehicle was burglarized. They knew theft was an issue and still left daytime guests and their belongings exposed. No one warned me at check-in, verbally or with a sign, to take valuables out of my vehicle. I believe the hotel avoids warning guests because it might hurt occupancy and revenue. A car break-in can put people in danger too, especially if they see or interrupt the thieves, who could be armed or acting together. Afterward, management was cold and dismissive. They wouldn't help or accept responsibility, making clear that guests are on their own if something is stolen on the property. This wasn't just bad luck. They knew about the repeated crime, chose when to provide security, didn't warn guests, and did nothing for me afterward. I was disgusted by the whole experience. If you care about your vehicle, belongings, peace of mind, or personal safety, don't stay here.

The sheets were clean, and the mirror and sink looked updated. I didn't see bugs, apart from one dead bug behind the TV. The receptionist was neutral. The rooms are very dated and dingy, though, with stained curtains and noise from the people upstairs. It reminded me of what I'd imagine a Motel 6 to be like. I was glad I only stayed one night. I slept in my outside clothes with the lights on, and just had a yogurt and muffin because the breakfast looked nasty. Nearly a week later, I still hadn't received my deposit back.
