Spark by Hilton Eden Prairie

We only needed a few hours of sleep after a show at the Xcel Energy Center, since we didn’t want to drive four hours home. As a Diamond member, I was moved from the queen we booked to a king. We checked in around midnight with the app and a digital key, while the front desk clerk was asleep on the floor. The room was simple, clean, and nice enough for a short stay. I liked the wireless charging pad, and the refrigerator and AC both worked well. The linens felt a step below Hampton or Garden locations. We left around 4:30 AM, and the same clerk was asleep again, this time sitting in a chair at the desk.

The beds were quite hard, and there weren’t phone charging options on both sides, so hopefully you or your partner won’t mind leaving a phone across the room. I also found the thermostat confusing: the wall control seemed to operate only the noisy wall unit, which looked like it hadn’t been renovated. The room was decent otherwise, but within ten minutes the power flickered off throughout the room and everything rebooted. It only happened once, though it made a poor first impression. Some areas have had recent renovations, but they seem skin deep. The elevator makes worrying noises and should be checked. I stayed for a weekend while visiting friends.

After driving straight for 24 hours, we really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating the staff were. The room was clean, and the pool, hot tub, and rest of the hotel were well maintained. This was our first time at Spark and it was a great experience. Thanks, we’ll recommend it to everyone.

Just a basic, clean place at a really good price. The employees were helpful and very nice. Breakfast was decent too, with bagels, cereal, and yogurt.
