Residence Inn Minneapolis Edina

The bed was a surprise highlight. I have a Select Comfort at home and usually struggle to find a comfortable bed on trips, but this one was so comfortable I had trouble getting out of it. I stayed a month. The rooms look dated, but they're clean and comfortable, and the staff were always polite. The exercise room was clean and had what I needed. I also used the laundry and grill. Breakfast was the usual continental type, with a little variety each day, plenty of food, fresh fruit, and warm coffee. I didn't use the pool, which is a lane pool attached to a community center, not part of the hotel. My one suggestion is smart TVs. Bring a Fire Stick or Roku if you want more than the limited viewing options. I'll be back on my next Minneapolis trip.

We used this as our home base for a week and the location worked perfectly. It’s next to Edinborough Park, where my kids loved the huge indoor play structure, and the hotel stay includes access to the pool and indoor track. There's also a small but clean fitness room with updated equipment. The area is fairly commercial, with two Targets, lots of restaurants, groceries, and shopping close by. Highway access is easy, and Tesla superchargers are about half a mile away in the Target lot. The hotel and basic rooms were clean and nice. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the daily breakfast had more choices than we expected, even for our picky eaters. It’s pet-friendly, with trails and paths nearby.

The suites are laid out nicely and feel like small apartments. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of good choices. The decor is a bit dated, but the location is convenient for the Twin Cities, close to highways and shopping and just a short drive from MSP airport.

For the $98 Canadian a night we paid, the room was quite decent, even though the hotel is showing its age. The pool situation was the main downside, since the property doesn't have its own pool area. What stood out most was the staff's friendliness and the breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while. During the week there were eggs, bacon, spinach egg white frittata, yogurts, and a granola bar. Saturday's selection was more ordinary, but still very good.
