Club Wyndham Ocean Ridge

For the best value on the island, we usually rent a house through Edisto realty. We love Edisto, though, and sometimes stay at Wyndham. Wyndham also sells a weekly pass for the pool, playground, and putt putt, which is a good deal for amenities here. Just don't buy a timeshare. It's not an investment, there are no real advantages to owning one, and the maintenance fees are a rip off.

The beach was empty and awesome, and the pickleball courts were nice. Golf is nearby, though pricey. The place itself has good facilities and a nice room with everything we needed. It's quiet, so it's great if you want to eat in. There aren't many restaurants, and some were closed in December.

We haven't stayed yet, but I'm hoping to get this resolved before our April visit. I booked six rooms through RCI in September and have called several times to make one of them handicap accessible. So far, staff have been dismissive, unhelpful, and somewhat rude to both me and the RCI representatives who called. I've been given conflicting instructions. One person said to contact Wyndham Destinations, but they said only the resort could assign an accessible room. Another said RCI had to assign it, but RCI says they can't. I was also told I could only book handicap access through the resort's direct website, which would violate the Americans with Disabilities Act. So far, the staff haven't offered any help.

The suites were clean and spacious, and the location was peaceful and beautiful. Staff and management at Wyndham Edisto Island were friendly and incredibly accommodating, with premium service. Everything felt seamless from start to finish. This is a hidden gem of a paradise that every traveler should experience at least once.
