I didn’t stay here, my dad did. He called me from the hotel and left his room number, but when I called the next day, the woman just said he’d left and hung up. She came across as impatient, impersonal, and really rude. She could have said a little more. I was taken aback by how abruptly she treated me, and I won’t stay here.

For a two star hotel, I had a five star experience. My room was 316, facing away from the road, so it was completely quiet. The walls seemed decent too, since I didn’t hear the neighbors making noise. The location is handy, just off Highway 99 and a few minutes from i5. WiFi was decent, and there are soda vending machines downstairs by the office, though they don’t have water. I’d recommend this place.

We arrived at midnight with our two young kids and found a filthy room with roaches everywhere as soon as we turned on the lights. The second room they gave us was even worse, and the staff seemed not to care. It smelled moldy, had holes in the bathroom ceiling, and had roaches again. Both beds showed signs of bed bugs, and there was blood on the walls, plus hair and dirt in the beds. Never again!

A couple of years later, this place had gone downhill badly. There were ladies of the night around, and people I took to be drug addicts were coming and going from rooms at all hours. At checkout, they nearly kept my deposit because I’d sprayed deodorant on after a shower. They said I might be trying to cover something up and made us wait two hours for the smell to disappear, although it was gone in two minutes. When they finally smelled the room, they said it was fine. Prostitutes were standing around and others were openly using drugs, but they hassled me over deodorant? When I first stayed, the staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around. It wasn’t in the best neighborhood, but I hadn’t seen crime or anything that worried me. It worked well for a last-minute place to stay, even though it wasn’t a five star hotel.
