Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Worth Downtown/Convention Center

Getting around was easy from here, with the convention center across the street and some Fort Worth shopping and dining within walking distance. Breakfast was fine. The property was changing ownership while I was there, and there were a few cosmetic issues; my lock also stopped working. The staff seemed indifferent.

We came back soaked from the rain, and Herlinda from housekeeping offered to take our clothes, dry them, and bring everything back to our room. She isn’t on the laundry team, and she didn’t charge us anything. Her kindness and warm, helpful attitude went well beyond what she had to do. Herlinda, thank you for caring and making our stay so much better. We really appreciated it! 💛

The room we were moved to was warm and comfortable, and we appreciated how hard the front desk gentleman worked to find it. We’d asked for an upstairs room because of occasional loud motorbike noise, even though another staff member said all the floors were the same. He also called us as soon as hot water was back. At check-in, no one had told us hot water would be unavailable until 6:00 p.m. Our whole family was feeling a little unwell, and my husband ended up taking a cold shower. The heater in our original room also wasn’t working properly, and it only got to about 21°C. The gentleman who came on shift after the woman at the desk was professional and immediately helped us change rooms when we asked about the hot water and heater. We’re grateful to him, though we didn’t get his name. He was working the afternoon to evening shift on December 22.

Alex at the check-in desk was warm and helpful throughout our visit, and valet parking came in especially handy in the cold and snow. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the fresh breakfast each morning. We could walk to several great restaurants from this convenient downtown Fort Worth location. We were very glad we chose the Fairfield Marriott in downtown Fort Worth.
